Acuity's Supply Chain Leadership Program (SCLP) is designed to identify high potential candidates in the fields of Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Supply Chain, and Mechanical Engineering. These candidates join the company in full time professional roles that are designed to enhance their early career development. Each SCLP participant spends their first 24 months of employment rotating every 6 months in various roles. These roles are largely designed to allow them to have a wide range of exposure to the organization and simultaneously give each part of the organization exposure to the SCLP. Depending on the scope and complexity of projects, the ideal rotation provides a candidate an opportunity to work Supply Chain Leadership in areas such as Inventory Management, Focus Factory Management, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering, and continuous improvement. Due to the geographically diverse structure of the company these rotations may range in location from California to Minnesota to Georgia. Over the course of the program candidates will spend at least one rotation in a remote location.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Rotations vary in projects. Those in the program will learn the buyer planner role, manufacturing engineer role, continuous improvement engineer, etc.
Deploys and uses lean methodology to drive process improvement (i.e. Kanban, Visual Management, Inventory Management).
Act as an interface between the floor and customer, communicate issues and appropriately resolve customer requests.
Review production data from production cells. Ensure process improvements are sustained.
Support production quality processes and procedures to increase productivity.
Responsible for quality in three phases: incoming supplier quality, internal quality (manufacturing process), external quality (customer satisfaction).
Track supply chain metrics of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity at our assembly or distribution centers
