Supply Chain Intern - REQ # 847

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US is looking for a Supply Chain Intern for Summer 2024 in Suwanee, GA.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is an opportunity to apply general supply chain knowledge and project management skills to improve processes and performance within key METUS operations. The person in this position will report to the Supply Chain Manager but will spend time working across various aspects of the supply chain function to improve key performance metrics and deploy critical projects. These aspects include order management, inbound / outbound logistics, inventory planning, demand planning, and warehouse operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Deep dive analytics to identify key performance drivers based on large amount of raw data.

• Deploy knowledge of supply chain management to extract key insights, identify areas of needed improvement, and outline solutions and/or courses of action.

• Work with various supply chain team members to implement process improvements aligned with METUS strategic plan.

• Manage assigned projects through adequate Gantt charts, action plans, and milestone governance.

• Organization of meetings with colleagues

• Management of monthly presentation to management

• Collaboration with various supply chain functional leaders on key performance indicators

• Willing to travel up to 10% to for various Company meetings and training.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At a minimum, candidates should have completed their 2nd year of study, past internships, or co-ops a plus.

• Superior attention to detail and adherence to task deadlines

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; should be comfortable making presentations in front of various audience types, including company executives.

• Candidates should have a significant interest in applying their technical knowledge to business processes and solving complex problems.

• Minimum GPA: 3.0

• Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $15.38 and $21.15/hour however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employees eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
