Meraki's Supply Chain Management (SCM) Team is rooted in the functional design and engineering division of the business. SCM is responsible for supplier management, purchasing, planning and shepherding new products into the sustaining business. Team members are expected to work cross-functionally and make data driven recommendations to leaders across Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, Product Management, and Business Ops.

As a Supply Chain Intern you learn about how Meraki products are manufactured and what business factors contribute to and constrain the supply chain from end to end. In addition, the Supply Chain intern will be primary lead on Capstone Project from start to finish. The project will be geared towards internal process improvements related to supply planning, material strategies and new product initiatives. Interns are expected to have the skills to analyze data, recommend solutions and communicate cross functionally with demand, engineering and product management at all levels. Meraki Supply Chain team is comprised of 2 subgroups: Global Supply management & Supply chain management. Interns will be assigned to one of the groups, based on prior experience, interests, and educational background.

Some project details include:

  • Designing and Implementing supply strategies

  • Possible travel to Asia to meet with suppliers and assisting new product initiatives

  • Working cross functionally with Engineering, Sourcing, Ops and product management

  • Self management and project experience in a dynamic supply chain

  • Team building and presentation skills

Intern/Co-Op Program Overview:

Meraki interns and co-ops join the team for 12 and 16 week programs, respectively, and are placed directly onto subteams. During the program, interns/co-ops have the opportunity to work on a small starter project, such as integration and implementation of new tools, before spending the majority of the program on a larger project, such as building the infrastructure for a new service. Projects are cross functional, which allow insight into new languages and technologies, help encourage professional growth within engineering, and allow a sense of ownership within the team.

Meraki's engineering teams place a high emphasis on mentorship. Each intern and co-op is matched 1:1 with a mentor who provides continual feedback and guidance throughout the duration of the program. Mentors help with introductions to other team members, overviews of tools and processes, and provide a seamless integration into Meraki life.

The Supply Chain Strategy, Senior Program Manager supports the end-to-end Supply Chain, from Sourcing through Delivery and Customer Service, working on a broad range of projects to develop new capabilities, optimize and codify standard processes, and create new frameworks to scale the organization globally. This is a unique opportunity to work with a variety of teams across the company to generate creative solutions to complex business problems and deliver meaningful impact. This role will also be critical in leading organizational change management to support our transformation to a globally connected Supply Chain. The ideal candidate is energized by creating structure in an ambiguous, ever-changing environment, excels in driving projects forward, and choicefully selects the most impactful ideas with the optimal level of effort. You encourage out-of-the box brainstorming and have the unique ability to turn those ideas into plans and plans into reality. You are talented at implementing new ways of working and you measure success by the results generated, not by the number of boxes checked. This role reports to the Director, Supply Chain Strategy. This position is located in San Francisco and will need to travel between our San Ramon and San Francisco locations as needed. Responsibilities: * Lean Continuous Improvement * Lead process mapping discussions with cross-functional teams, identifying gaps and wastes and facilitating collaborative brainstorming discussions to identify opportunities for improvement. Pave the path to achieving the target state through creation of action plans. * Facilitate cross-functional discussions to clearly identify roles and responsibilities and decision rights. Eliminate duplicative efforts and create clean hand-offs between teams through creation of standard work. * Facilitate multi-day problem-solving workshops, create action plans to gather data, and drive alignment on objectives and success criteria * Lead change management to support adoption of new processes, including development of training materials, performance measurement and monitoring to ensure targeted goals and objectives are achieved Project Management: * Identify project objectives, scope, and resource requirements to solve the business problem * Create and lead a project plan, identifying dependencies between tasks and workstreams, lead times, and resource requirements * Measure progress and performance, report out on project status, identify issues and risks and proactively recommend a path to resolution * Anticipate roadblocks and proactively address issues before they impact business results Strategy Development and Analysis: * Thinks boldly to challenge current business practices, identifies "out-of-the-box" ideas for improvement.
