JOB SUMMARY:
Blue Bird's Supply Chain Intern will acquire practical experience in procurement and supply chain management while offering essential assistance to the team. Our Supply Chain Intern will be a crucial role supporting the team by assisting with tasks such as vendor research, SQE, Supplier Compliance, resourcing of product from one supplier to another negotiations, and PPAPs. Assist with product management initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Continuous improvement projects within the Purchasing Department
Supports efforts around compliance and department procedures
Support Supply Chain OKR's, and KPI's and Cost Measures
Maintain files and other documents to support business and ISO certification
Maintain files and other documents to support compliance in Buy America and USMCA
Create and maintain systematic data
Create and maintain department trackers
Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Able to work full-time (40 hours/week)
Incoming Junior, Senior or Graduate level student with law degree
Ability to work semi-autonomously with appropriate guidance and direction
At least 18 years of age prior to the start of the internship assignment
