Supply Chain Expeditor

Summary:

Expedites open purchase orders with suppliers. Update systems with new dates and notify departments of potential kit shortages; as well processes Purchase Orders for low cost items to support the business needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Contact and communicate (via email and phone) with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates.
• Expedite deliveries needed sooner to support Sales revenue goals.
• Update systems with latest date information accurately and expeditiously.
• Perform first level expedite escalation and gather information required to elevate requests to management.
• Provide updates to the Production Control team regarding ship dates, issues and delays.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform or assist with any Supply Chain operations, as required, to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
• Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Computer and usual peripherals
• Standard office equipment.

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; some college preferred;
• 2-5 years of experience in in a manufacturing environment in scheduling or production control function preferred
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Due to export control rules, must be a US citizen.
