About This Role:

The Supply Chain Engineer assists in analyzing and coordinating the company's logistical functions to contribute to the improvement of the company's supply chain operation and the entire life cycle of the company products, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:

  • Analyzing supply chain business processes for risks, lead times, cost price breakdown, volume, and customer coverage. Deploying Continuous Improvement initiatives in the processes. Standardizing various supply chain processes across the organization to achieve consistency in production. Investigating inventory shrinkage and variances. Developing measures for improvements and implement them within the team and with vendors.

  • Managing the supply chain, including utilizing quality control tools, root cause analysis and analytical methods to resolve problems. Reviewing logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements. Participating in redesign the movement of new products to maximize value and minimize costs.

  • Extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data from at least 3 of the following systems: JD Edwards Enterprise, E1, BIDS (Business Information Business System), TMS (Transportation Management System), WMS (Warehouse Management System), and TM1.

  • Developing, implementing, and improving key performance indicator metrics through data analysis and continuous improvement. Analyzing supply chain bottle necks, slack time, durability, relatability, and other merits, and create detailed reports for management.

  • Collecting, analyzing, and presenting statistically valid distribution data (cost, capacity, ROI, yield, utilization, and efficiencies) to support data-driven decision making. Perform data mining and data consolidation and summarize information for all ad-hoc requests.

  • Applying engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and development of supply chain processes.

  • Supporting industrial production processes, including quality control, cost reduction, volume, and customer coverage for maximizing the effectiveness of manufacture and distribution of goods.

  • Managing manufacturing vendors by developing and defining component requirements, long term capacity and short-term needs. Maintaining and developing positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in a logistics activity. Participating in negotiations with suppliers, logistics service providers, customers, and other chain supply partners on purchase of raw materials, packaging materials, auxiliary materials, and transport.

  • Presenting mass data and key information on supply chain issues to team members, management, and customers.

  • Using Enterprise level ERP system for Supply Chain related modules (Procurement, Shop Floor Management, Materials Requirements Planning, and Material Production Scheduling).

  • Writing technical documentation and work instructions for professionals and non-professionals.

  • Researching new technologies and methods and implement them to improve logistics processes. Participating in the deployment of these improvements. Investigate and recommend continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes, operational efficiency, and cost savings.

  • Serve as a contact point for the Production, Purchasing, and Sales teams for matters regarding technical or operational processes within the logistics function.

Education/Training Required and Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering preferred.

Experience Required and Preferred:

  • Minimum three years of experience in supply chain.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to interact with members across the organization.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of data.

  • Ability to work proactively and independently.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $63,730 to $94,260

The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
