L3 Technologies, Randtron, is currently seeking a Director of Supply Chain for our Menlo Park, CA office. This position will be accountable for all aspects of material management throughout the factory, as well as, logistics of products to the End Customers. Leads and manages the process from Supplier through Manufacturing through shipment, linking all supply chain activities to the value streams of the business. Fully responsible for supplier sourcing, performance and On-Time Delivery (OTD) of product with the ability to understand supplier management from a strategic and business perspective. Measurement of success is OTD of Product, Year-Over-Year (YOY) Cost improvement in Material Spend, Supplier Performance (Quality and OTD), Inventory Accuracy of 98.5% or better, and Implementation of Lean Capacity Planning.

Additional Roles and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for and manage processes for Material Planning, Production Fulfillment, Logistics, Inventory Management (includes the cycle count process), Procurement, Supply Base Rationalization, Outsourcing, and Make Buy Analysis.

  • Train, develop, mentor and coach subordinate managers and their staffs to high levels of efficiency.

  • Provide direction and Leadership to all departments under their area of management responsibilities.

  • Develop and lead turnkey outsource initiatives of select value streams across the enterprise.

  • Analyze, manage, and oversee Production Fulfillment, ensuring uninterrupted flow of materials and services using INforLN ERP, Pull Indicators, and Master Planning.

  • Manage and report floor capacity to ensure OTD and efficiency/utilization of the workforce.

  • Establish and implement Supply Chain Strategies for Sourcing, Cost Savings, and Continuous Improvement that delivers Total Cost Savings generating Gross Margin Improvement

  • Responsible for sourcing for all commodities, from shop supplies to single/sole source materials; key decision maker for all sourcing decisions both domestic and foreign.

  • Develop, implement, and negotiate price and delivery terms with critical commodities to minimize material cost, inventory levels, and transportation costs. Responsible for implementing systems for material replenishment and LTA's, minimizing the level on hand inventory and cash utilization.

  • Organize and lead the supply chain team to support each value stream using a buyer planner concept; directly supporting buyer planners in mitigating risks (delays, costs, quality, quotes, services, etc).

  • Develop and implement visual controls and measures, driving operational excellence from suppliers through the manufacturing process, includes, but is not limited to, supplier on-boarding and supplier audits.

  • Manage the overall Production Planning process, ensuring execution of the operations team to Contract delivery demands and STF forecasts; provide master scheduling for all value streams and ensure communication to Program Managers for shipment delays.

  • Implement and maintain systems to identify capacity constraints in value stream and work with functional areas to mitigate.

  • Perform Project Management on Mission Critical Programs that require special attention for OTD and budget performance.

  • Use MRP analytics and creates customized metrics and reports to identify problems and improvement in supply chain processes, including production scheduling, inventory forecasting, and supplier performance.

  • Ensure that all Government FARs/DFARs, Small Business Plans, and Corporate Compliance Requirements are completed on time and maintained.

  • Travels to suppliers and customers regarding supplier performance management, on-boarding, audits and program/process reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management from an accredited four-year College or University.

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certified.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years in an Operational Leadership Role, with specific supply chain experience in:

  • Formulating Commodity Strategy, including Strategic Sourcing;

  • Managing and Tracking Capacity Planning; including shop floor planning;

  • Material and Inventory Management;

  • Lean Manufacturing with focus on Kanban Replenishment Systems, Pull

  • Systems, and Standard Work;

  • Managing Processes for driving revenue and OTD performance. i.e. S&OP, and Daily Management Walk Through;

  • Hands On Working Experience Implementing and Managing ERP Systems; and

  • Procurement, including Supplier Management, LTA's, and Outsourcing.

  • Working knowledge of AS9100 D business process.

  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).

  • Demonstrated skills in managing and driving million dollar programs, consisting of cross functional teams.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills required. Must be able to exhibit a positive attitude and communicate clearly and effectively, and promote collaboration among the team.

  • Excellent analytical, project management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Skilled in time, priority and task management. Must be able to independently arrange and organize work efforts on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Must be able to meet tight deadlines with the ability to multi-task on a consistent basis.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and decision making skills and the ability to analyze and solve complex problems using analytical and creative problem solving skills. Ability to work independently, as well as lead, motivate and train others with the ability to articulate and drive supply chain strategies through to project completion. Ability to anticipate problems, resolve ambiguity and take decisive action.

  • Excellent computer skills required with proficiency in Windows interface, Microsoft Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject and Access), database systems, and knowledge of Infor LN ERP software.

  • Strong overall business acumen and financial knowledge with an understanding of the New Product Development Process

  • Understanding of Government contracting requirements, such as FAR, ITAR, etc., and demonstrated knowledge of business challenges and opportunities driven by technology and regulations unique to the Defense market.

  • Demonstrates a high degree of personal and professional ethics and integrity.

  • Must be able to travel, as required in the performance of this position.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

This analytics, system prototype and data science org owns the data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics and software solutions for the entire Infrastructure Supply Chain and Sourcing organization. The Manager will build, lead and develop a team of Analytics Solutions Software Developers who are full-stack backend and frontend developers. The team will be focused on building analytical solutions in partnership with other Facebook data science and software engineering teams. Prior knowledge in software engineering and data analytics is a plus. Help build Facebook's world supply chain & empower the team with ML/AI driven tools in partnership with our core data science team to allow our sourcing teams to become autonomous and better serve over 2.5 billion people globally! RESPONSIBILITIES * Help plan, design, build and operate the supply chain through automation of analytical software solutions utilizing large volumes of mission-critical data, to analyze trends, surface anomalies, optimize complex logistics & operations. All while using the latest big data technologies, programming languages, frameworks and open-source libraries. Build, lead and develop the Analytics Solutions Software Development team of individual contributors ranging from less experienced to very experienced full-stack engineers. Form strong partnerships across the SOE org to collaborate and deploy data analytics product solutions and overall productivity tools. Partner with multiple cross-functional teams in order to define problem statements, design & build solutions and implement them.
