About the Role:
Aquila is seeking a Supply Chain Consultant to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The facility has started an effort to implement a Supply Chain Transformation to inform the design of a next-generation integrated system. Initiatives include developing a Lincoln internal Supply Chain architecture and defining supply chain process ownership. Additional projects are planned for the next fiscal year.

Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Supply Chain expert to engage with project teams in the following areas:
Define/refine process ownership
Advise on terminology and industry best practices that the Laboratory can adapt to the processes being evolved within the Supply Chain umbrella.
Develop a supply chain architecture that will support needed capabilities, conduct trade studies, and recommend potential solutions while incorporating industry best practices balanced with Laboratory prototyping needs.
Document assumptions, issues, and agreements reached when working with the initiative teams.
Provide a list of recommendations to address pain points gathered by the Laboratory to be addressed by the supply chain projects
Educate on challenges that may arise on selected decision paths (pros - cons).

2 years of DoD Experience
10 years of Experience implementing end-to-end supply chain solutions
10 years of Supply chain experience
10 years of Advise on and socialize industry best practices and terminology
10 years of Building relationships with key stakeholders
10 years of Change Management
10 years of Creating and Managing Project Timelines
10 years of Creating integrated communication plans across workstreams
10 years of Creating presentations for stakeholders, including content aggregation
10 years of Creating weekly program communications
10 years of Define process ownership
10 years of Experience preparing functional and specific support plans to support policy changes/enhancements
10 years of Translating Business Requirements into Technical Specifications
Analytical and Decision-Making Skills
10 years of Systems Analysis
10 years of Systems Architecture
Working Knowledge of the Following:
10+ years experience in supply chain and business operations
Experience recommending and implementing comprehensive end-to-end supply chain solutions, especially in early prototyping environments, engineering development start-ups, or high-mix, low-volume organizations
Particular expertise in material management, inventory management, part planning, and tracking (MRP), purchasing, business rules/financial settlement rules, and a clear understanding of program cost capture
Understanding of available industry supply chain software tools; experience in integration of process and software tools that advance the efficiency of staff
Previous experience in a DoD-focused organization with a clear understanding of DoD program execution and the rules that are required for compliance in both the FAR clauses as well as the application of industry-standard practices
Documented success with organizational transformation, facilitating critical decision-making, and implementing process improvement;
Focus on integration of processes, capabilities, tools, and staff needs to successfully develop a Supply Chain solution that supports research programs and technology development
Will have moved through the supply chain ranks having taken on progressive leadership roles within the organization
Ability to effectively work in a hybrid environment with both onsite and offsite engagements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing/Process Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Proven leadership skills in a variety of roles
Strategic/critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving skills, talent for debate and challenging the status quo and providing fact-based analysis of alternatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
And These Skills are a Bonus:
Experience developing manufacturing system architectures a plus
Experience with Aras Innovator, SAP, and other Product Lifecycle Management systems and Enterprise Research Planning systems a plus

Location: Lexington, MA
Work Schedule: This is a part-time position at an average of 30 hours/week, however, there may be weeks where 40 hours of work is available. This position will be mostly on-site with some flexibility for remote as work allows. Must be within commutable distance of Lexington, Massachusetts.

Clearance: An Interim clearance will be sufficient to start
