Job Role Summary

  • Lead logistics integration of capital projects through the stage / gate process with Project Team, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Global Business Units (GBU)

  • Develop alternative Supply Chain options for stakeholders and provide clear analysis to support Project and GBU decision-making process

  • Support on-site logistics infrastructure design and cost estimate process

  • Support Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Design activities for logistics infrastructure

  • Develop third party Scope of Work and support procurement process

  • Lead the transition of Project logistics activities to Supply Chain and Manufacturing organizations

  • Position based at Houston Spring Campus with potential for future assignment at Primary Contractor site or Project construction location

  • Travel requirements vary by position mostly regional in nature, but includes occasional international travel

Primary Job Functions

  • Provide economic and operational analysis to enable Project decision making process

  • Develop sound logistics and operational alternatives to support Project and Business Line goals

  • Support Project stewardship through Stage / Gate process

  • Publish Supply Chain logistics plans in the Project Logistics Basis Memorandum (LBM)

  • Successfully transition Project activities to Supply Chain and Manufacturing organizations

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required

  • Academic disciplines preferred: Industrial Engineering, Engineering (any type), Business

  • Global or regional Supply Chain experience

  • Project planning / execution experience

  • Manufacturing and manufacturing site logistics operations

  • Logistics operational and technical experience

  • Informal leader of cross-functional / cross-organization teams

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills proven ability to set the agenda on complex subjects with multiple stakeholders

  • Strategic thinker proven ability to translate Project / Business goals into strategic plans

  • Tactical proficiency translate project objectives into logistics and operational plans

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Process-orientation can integrate Supply Chain plans within Project framework

  • Ability to operate under non-discretionary timelines of capital projects

  • Strong influencing skills needs to develop productive internal and external network through informal and indirect leadership

Will be in charge to drive improvements over the functions and to closely monitor major KPIs: on-time delivery, SIOP accuracy, inventory levels, people productivity. * Demand and Supply Planning: Manages overall demand as well as supply planning to ensure optimized load across the network of factories, tie alignment with Annual Operating Plan. Apply Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning framework, drive New Product Introductions planning. Ensure global supply planning including factories execution plan is followed to SOP and global policy. * Materials and Inventory Management: Drives improvement projects with all peers: DC planners/buyers, sourcing/buyers, local operations and technical functions to maintain best in class inventory levels (incl. Inactive, Obsolete and Slow movers – IOS). Plans materials strategies to optimize planning and inventory. Measures forecast, analysis and reporting of weekly/monthly SIOP data in coordination with the Global SIOP leader, PDC Scheduler and Business Demand Planners. * Logistics and Warehouse Management: Manages logistics team to ensure all imports and exports for the site are promptly executed. Ensures correctness of data and paperwork for successful Intrastat monthly submission. Coaches warehouse supervisor on good warehouse keeping, equipment usage and maintenance. * General: Uses Honeywell Operating System as continuous improvement lever. Benchmark performance of other factories processes, identify opportunities, scope and lead specific improvement actions. Sustains Honeywell Safety Management and Environmental systems and the regulatory requirements. Ensures all staff complies with company and statutory requirements. Develop work flows and metrics. Create an open and positive environment to facilitate two-way effective communication.
