Position Summary

Prepare reporting/statistical analysis for Supply Chain processes, and understand how that analysis impacts overall Supply Chain processes. Handle details and assignments of a confidential nature.

Exercise independent judgment and initiative. Provide leadership and problem resolution within Supply Chain Processes. Develop and conduct training that provides guidance to internal/external customers on Supply Chain processes.

Position may have concentration in specific business areas, process and system. The ideal candidate will be located in Minnesota but position is also available in Henderson, CO and Denver, CO.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Customer/System Support/Problem Resolution: Perform in-depth research on complex audit questions, software system, or transactional problems within the overall processes.

    Provides customer service support by assisting as a technical and informational resource to resolve questions/issues.

  • Analysis/Reporting: Utilize report writing tools to create insightful reporting from various data sources to monitor Supply Chain key performance metrics and exceptions.

    Perform analysis (e.g., statistical, trend /correlation /control charts) to identify and proactively communicate trends, root causes, performance, etc. Analyze reports to ensure data accuracy. Perform analysis and research of audit questions.

  • Process/System Documentation/Training: Lead the development of Process and System User documentation utilized by Supply Chain. Develop and provide supporting training on departmental systems and processes.

  • Project/Program Management: Utilize solid project management skills to lead larger projects to improve processes.

    Develop and implement project plans, and communicate project milestones, obstacles, and progress. Prepare management reports on program usage and compliance. Analyze reports to ensure data accuracy.

    If applicable, develop, maintain and modify templates. Facilitate interaction with Supply Chain departments to ensure proper procedures are followed. Reconcile and validate reports, troubleshoot technical problems, conduct testing, support system updates, and coordinate with IT personnel.

  • Auditing: Schedule independent reviews of processes, policy, procedures and/or contract quality.

    Perform SOX assessment tests on Supply Chain controls. Prepare management reports on compliance and test results as requested. Identify, recommend, and write process controls, test scripts and communications, where needed.

    Audit, correct errors, and advise personnel on procedures to process transactions accurately throughout Supply Chain areas. Ensure compliance with associated corporate and regulatory requirements, such as sales tax, SOX, IRS, FERC, using a variety of systems.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Law or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 3 years experience in a supply chain related field.

  • Excellent customer/communication skills. Must be approachable, flexible, customer focused, self-motivated, results and team-oriented

  • Learns new tasks, tools, systems, and processes and develops skills quickly

Preferred

  • 2+ years experience using statistical analysis reporting tools

  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced-level experience using MS Excel, Access Word, MS Project, and Visio, designing/developing reports with report writing tools

  • 1+ years experience with Supply Chain systems and/or Expense Management Systems

  • Proven project management skills

POSITION: Supply Chain Analyst REPORTS TO: VP, Shared Service & Business Process DEPARTMENT: Purchasing LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN -- Apogee HQ General Description: This position supports Apogee Purchasing and Operations through the use of information technology solutions, analytical tools and continuous improvement practices. Purchasing (45%): In the purchasing role, this position is responsible for supporting the supply management team in the development and implementation of both strategic change and tactical improvement in the supply chain. This position will work closely with the Purchasing Manager as well as Apogee Business Unit ("BU") sites to develop and implement cost reduction analysis, supplier scorecards, and supply market segmentation. The position will gather, analyze and present internal and marketplace intelligence data to internal clients. The position will also support the development and execution of regular sourcing team activities - developing spreadsheets, modeling and research analysis for their procurement projects. Strong analysis and communication skills are critical in this position. Responsibilities: * Provide financial analysis support to the Purchasing/Supply Chain Management department which was responsible for $19 million in purchase contracts and relationships in calendar 2016. * Manage and coordinate the semi-annual supplier scorecard process, working with Purchasing Manager and BU Purchasing personnel to complete scorecards in a timely manner. * Create spend aggregation reports using multiple ERP systems and plant information. * Provide assistance in Apogee contract agreements. * RFI and RFP development under the guidance of Purchasing Manager. Conflict Minerals (30%) In the conflict minerals role, this position is responsible for developing and managing Apogee's conflict minerals compliance program. Responsibilities: * Develop conflict minerals project plan for each reporting year. * Maintain and continuously improve SharePoint custom form and workflow to focus on increasing the efficiency of the conflict minerals data collection process without compromising Apogee's ability to meet the SEC requirements. * Serve as the department expert on SharePoint, InfoPath forms, Workflows, due diligence requirements, Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative ("CFSI") activities, tools and processes, and potential conflict minerals risk at Apogee. * Work closely with Apogee BU employees to carry out the project plan. * Work closely with Apogee BUs to scope their supplier list for conflict minerals. * Organize and support the BU efforts to obtain complete conflict minerals declarations from suppliers; providing assistance to BU employees in contacting suppliers to request information, provide education, answer questions, and ultimately clear roadblocks to obtaining the necessary information. * Review and track supplier responses in preparation for the annual SEC filing. * Respond to customer requests on behalf of Apogee BUs for conflict minerals declarations. * Perform due diligence on smelter received from Apogee suppliers, and prescribed by the OECD guidelines as interpreted by Apogee. SharePoint Administration and Support (25%) Support Apogee Operations and Supply Chain function by administering, maintaining and developing SharePoint.
