The Supply Chain Analyst position at Idaho Power supports strategic analytic development and insights for Supply Chain's business units and internal partners including: inventory management, materials services and procurement and sourcing.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Performs data analysis by compiling data from multiple systems into actionable information; meets and documents business requirements from stakeholders and prepares comprehensive analysis

  • Creates strategic metrics/KPI's to measure and track performance

  • Benchmarking, including industry best practices and market intelligence

  • Develops and creates custom metrics and reporting within PowerBI business analytics tool

  • Progresses and maintains data strategy for IPC's Supply Chain, including data integrity and efficient data warehouse management

  • Participates in cross-functional Supply Chain projects and performs ad-hoc analysis as required

  • Evaluates opportunities and makes recommendations for cost savings, efficiencies, and continuous process improvements

  • Works collaboratively with Supply Chain personnel to support and monitor Supply Chain processes

  • Assists with necessary budget preparation, processing and analysis

  • Supports Asset Suite ERP software system issues and provides resolutions

REQUIRED SKILLS

Knowledge of:

  • Advanced understanding of ERP and financial database systems

  • Reporting Applications.

Prefer:

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations and principles

  • Strong analytic skills including the ability to recognize and translate common trends and irregularities within large varied data sets into business insights

  • Microsoft Power BI experience, DAX Language

  • SQL experience

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience in developing SSRS reports

  • Experience pulling data from OLAP data cubes

  • ABB Asset Suite experience

Skills in:

  • Effective communication and conflict resolution

  • Research and analysis

  • Forecasting, budget analysis and business planning

  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management.

Ability to:

  • Meet deadlines

  • Work with minimal supervision

  • Work in a regulated or compliance-oriented environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, supply chain management, information technology or related field.

Prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, a master's in business administration (MBA) or management information systems.

Experience:

  • Three years professional experience in supply chain, statistical analysis, accounting, or finance.

Prefer:

  • Five years of professional experience in supply chain analysis, statistical analysis, metric and reporting development experience, process improvement, and project management experience.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position.

Prefer:

  • CSCA - Certified Supply Chain Analyst
  • CSCP - Certified Supply Chain Professional
  • CPIM - Certified Production and Inventory Management
