General Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst is part of the Supply Chain Analytics Team. They provide the support for operation KPI's, reports, dashboards and help in item master related activities. The primary function of the Supply Chain Analyst is to support the organization by creating and maintaining clean, accurate, standardized and complete supply chain master data to support timely and efficient 24/7 operations which include requisitioning, procurement, delivery, payment and charging of product. Work will be based on requests from internal customers, suppliers, strategic partners and will involve direct coordination with IT. This position requires an emphasis on automation and system modernization to ensure master data is accurate and synchronized with Beaumont Health strategic solution providers, trading partners and providers of third-party enrichment data. The process improvements are heavily encouraged by the Director of the team.

Essential Duties

  • Provide analytical reports, KPI's or dashboards.

  • Maintenance of Master Data which includes Item, Supplier and Location Master.

  • Analyze and resolve requests and ensure timely follow-through and completion in accordance with business rules and Service Level Agreements (SLA's).

  • Support for cleanup of data.

  • Resolve data quality exceptions, which are identified through monthly data quality reporting.

  • Provide excellent customer service on all client requests and inquiries by owning the issue/question until resolution and following through with customers

  • Ensure master files comply with the six major tenets of data quality: completeness, conformity, consistency, accuracy, redundancy and integrity

  • Demonstrate ability of general understanding of healthcare's products & suppliers

  • Manage supplier relationships and relationships with strategic partners to ensure efficient operations and minimize end user disruptions.

STANDARD QUALIFICATION

  • BS/BA in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Industrial Technology or Information Technology preferred or high school diploma with equivalent experience.

  • Skilled with PeopleSoft Procurement Suite

  • Skilled with Microsoft Access and Excel

  • Skilled with converting PDF documents to data files

  • Exceptional skills in applicable Microsoft software programs

  • Must have excellent time management skills with the ability to use independent judgment

  • One year of analytical experience is preferred

  • Exposure to relational databases (preferable Microsoft Access)

  • Prior experience with data management of item, supplier or location files a plus

  • Prior experience importing/exporting data, data transformation, EDI or interfaces a plus

  • ERP systems experience of Peoplesoft is a plus

  • Healthcare experience preferred

Position Overview: This role will lead cost out projects for the North American SCM region and business unit product lines. The position will be responsible for activities related to supply continuity management, supplier resourcing, and product design value analysis and value engineering (VAVE) that include: idea generation and cost out pipeline development, idea refinement, business case development, cross-functional alignment and phase-gate project management to ensure the SCM division and business unit product lines meet total cost out goals. In this function you will: Execute direct material cost out VAVE and supplier resourcing projects to achieve cost down targets within project schedule goals. Act as a conduit between the business unit product lines and the SCM organization. Coordinate with commodity managers, engineering, operations, sales, finance, and quality functions, globally. Clearly communicate project objectives and drive accountability across the functions. Support the cost out pipeline for the business unit product lines, including idea generation (cost out events), refinement (business case development), and execution through a project management phase-gate process. Align project-related deliverables with customer and supplier requirements/contracts, pricing, terms and conditions and contractual flow-down through the organization. Where applicable, initiate and/or participate in sourcing council reviews supporting TCO / VAVE program/project source selection, while maintaining consistency with commodity strategies. Manage the complete BOM for total cost out resourcing/VAVE projects to ensure accuracy of content and that a robust sourcing and launch plan exists for each part. Problem solve and deal effectively with conflicts and roadblocks, escalating as required. Identifying and communicating risks efficiently, to avoid impact to project deliverables. Support development of TCO / VAVE project workload resource requirements needed for sustained and effective project execution and portfolio management. Participate on cross-functional teams for TCO / VAVE and change management process improvement initiatives. Comply with Eaton SCM procedures, processes, and work instructions. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from accredited institution. Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in a manufacturing-based business.
