The Supply Chain Analyst enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect transportation, distribution, and inventory. With 700+ retail stores nationwide, we provide an impressive selection of batteries, lightbulbs, and related items to our neighborhood stores in communities across the country. As a trustworthy and reliable member of our supply chain team, you will be resourceful by creating and analyze transportation reports, contacting carriers for outbound shipments and completing related paperwork, create bills of lading, running reports, reviewing inventory levels and handling returns management, be helpful in solving supply chain problems, and work closely with leadership who shares a passion for supply chain, logistics, and distribution.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience working in the supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or distribution field, a Bachelor's Degree ideally with an focus on Supply Chain or Operations Management, high levels of analytical ability, strong Excel skills, and still have a strong focus on building relationships with internal contacts and our vendors. This position is located at our corporate office in Hartland, WI but will also work occasionally on-site at our national distribution center and warehouse in Glendale, WI.

General function Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect transportation, distribution, and inventory. Creates and reviews procedures for transportation, distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.
Essential duties and responsibilities (cross-training and other duties may be assigned):
Provide inbound routing for domestic purchase orders as well as outbound routing on truckload shipments and shipments with special requirements
Process all OS&D claims for inbound and outbound shipments, work with carriers to improve quality of shipments
Ensures that all shipments offered for carriage comply with state, federal and HAZMAT regulations
Create and analyze all transportation reports, give recommendations to Logistics Manager
Provide frequent communication with Management team regarding status and logistics of
deliveries/pick-ups to ensure quality service is provided to our customers
Ensure adherence to all security and operational procedures
Ensures that all shipments offered for carriage comply with state, federal and international regulations
Measure daily, weekly, monthly production and quality metrics; maintain daily reports. Communicate potential issues and concerns to management in a timely manner
Help develop and test process improvements and review with warehouse, order management, IT, and other stakeholders
Resolve issues that may occur with warehouse and order management teams and help train those individuals on the situation
Inventory Planning & Management
Review and maintain inventory levels in various sites and review with the warehouse, Category Mgmt, Sourcing, Planning, Finance and other stakeholders
Conduct weekly inventory reviews, investigate and resolve discrepancies with warehouse inventory team
Create and analyze inventory reports as needed, give recommendations on improvements to Operations Manager
Review and post all inventory transfers and adjustments daily
Complete monthly inventory reconciliations and adjust out variance
Communicate potential issues and concerns to management in a timely manner
Minimum Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Familiarity with a variety of warehousing and logistics concepts, practices and procedures.
Familiarity with shipping and OTR transportation regulations
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and WMS technology
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork.
Ability to work independently, in addition to working productively with others
Ability to work under general supervision, make minor decisions and use some judgment within standardized procedures
Ability to calculate simple math, percents and ratios.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business including peak seasons and special events
Good oral and written communication skills. Able to effectively manage confrontational situations in a controlled and courteous manner

A portion of this position will take place in a typical warehouse environment. The warehouse is not climate controlled and can be subject to extreme temperatures and humidity during the summer months. Noise level in the warehouse is moderate.
