The Supply Chain Account Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities with both new and existing customers to sell supply chain transportation services integrating both rail and intermodal. The incumbent understands the transportation and logistics industry and asks customers the right questions in order to meet their transportation needs. The role aligns customer needs with CN's and its partners service delivery capabilities.
Sales and Growth Strategy Management
Anticipate customer needs by staying informed of industry trends
Manage all commercial aspects of key customers in the US portfolio
Develop account growth strategies for customers and maintain existing relationships
Deliver yearly revenue and price targets as set out by CN
Collaborate with operations personnel to identify available capacity for opportunistic selling to improve overall yield and asset utilization
Cross-sell CN's transportation services suite
Proactively address any potential service issues with operations personnel
Develop a reliable monthly revenue and volume forecast
Develop and implement a strategic territory plan
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and manage stress. The role requires frequent travel (60%) in North America for customer site inspections and for customer visits.
Sales and Marketing
Bachelor's in Commerce, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
Master's Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent*

Fluent both written and verbal in English (French is a strong asset)
Knowledge of rail or other transportation services
High level of computer knowledge, specifically in Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce
