What you'll do:
Oversee the daily operations of medical supplies and inventory by performing various procurement operations to include par level compliance, order placement, and order receipts.
Facilitates and monitors the tracking of all medical supplies with the use of the materials management program.
Assumes responsibilities for storeroom environment such as room cleanliness, maintaining expiration date checks, clear floor area, allowing 18" clearance from ceiling, product bins properly labeled, and staff work area neat and organized.
Establish and monitor adequate par levels through monthly inventory controls.
Conducts quarterly on-hand inventory counts.
Ensure supply stock is present at all times, including on all floors and in exam rooms.
Monitor all transfers from Central Supply to other locations by running daily usage/dispense reports.
Assumes responsibilities to follow up on open purchase orders, locate lost packages, report damaged products, or settle receiving discrepancies.
Assist with other departments' inventory needs (ie, MRI, Physical Therapy).
Pick up, sort, collate, all incoming mail into departmental bins and distribute.
Operating mail postage meter.
Qualifications
Who you are:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Prior experience in materials management preferred.
Must have experience with standard business software to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must possess excellent planning and written/oral communications skills.
Must have excellent time management skills and demonstrate ability to prioritize and follow through on completion of operational assignments.
Must be able to operate and instruct others in the use of the inventory management program.
May be responsible for lifting and moving heavy items.
