As a Supplier Relationship Management Lead you will be a key player in contributing and influencing the strategic plan for professionalizing and optimizing supplier relationship to support the IT Strategy, to push innovation and to optimize global supplier partnerships. .


  • Contribute and influence the strategic plan for professionalizing and optimizing supplier relationship to support the IT Strategy, to push innovation and to optimize global supplier partnerships.

  • Lead, impact and monitor the implementation of the IT domain plans on a strategic, tactic and operational level, match suppliers on contributing levels and drive operational excellence.

  • Lead collaboration between business leaders and supplier organizations to drive, monitor and influence the offering to selection process, the optimization of resources and develop knowledge exchange, supporting the business on corporate priorities and driving alignment with the IT vision and innovation.

  • Act as a Business Partner to and trusted Advisor for multiple IT domains and Supplier organizations, to ensure alignment of IT Sourcing Plan, measure supplier relationship, bridge problems between IT and the supplier organization and drive optimization and innovation.


  • Initiate and build the strategic plan for global supplier optimization, through trend analyzes, analyzes of supplier efficiencies, added value for each of the IT domains.

  • Influence and manage an optimization plan for supplier use for IT domains on an operational, tactical and strategic level. Draft and operationalize KPI's for suppliers to different levels of support to match optimal partnership with Takeda.

  • Lead the gathering and translation of Industry and supplier trends and build on a structured communication of opportunities, innovations and proven implementations to senior leadership.

  • Identify and measure innovation and continuous improvement opportunities proposed by suppliers that contribute to new solutions or improvements within IT or the broader organization

  • Serve as a Business Partner to and a trusted advisor for multiple IT domains and stakeholder relationships in alignment with IT Procurement

  • Provide IT vision and strategy insights to IT Category Manager(s) to enable effective sourcing strategies

  • Impact and monitor supplier relationships, influence and drive mutual improvements focused on an effective, cost-minded and innovative partnership

  • Influence and drive change across global IT, leading in a matrix environment across all the divisions and domains of IT

  • Knowledge of IT Category Strategy and IT financial plan to develop an IT Sourcing Plan for each IT domain, with goal of cost optimization, supplier consolidation, application modernization, and harmonization

  • Identify and influence synergies across the IT organization by managing stakeholder relationships internally with IT service owners, Finance, Legal, and Procurement IT and externally with Tier 1 suppliers

  • Facilitate and prepare materials for supplier committees and business reviews for select suppliers i.e. Quarterly Business Reviews and Monthly Operationally Reviews

  • Manage escalations for risks & issues within scope of responsibility by developing a corrective action plan

  • Drive strategic and operational oversight to ensure SEPO's off-shore team is effectively managing supplier performance and operations

  • Manage supplier due-diligence in partnership with Procurement IT

  • Standardize and impact adherence to supplier governance processes i.e. committees, agenda, attendees

  • Coordinate supplier on-boarding and off-boarding by working cross-functionally i.e. Legal, Risk, IT Business Operations

  • Lead the analyses off-shore SEPO team reporting and provide insights to broader IT organization

  • Manage and influence supplier contract management processes for Tier 1 suppliers to ensure timely execution of contract reviews and approvals in coordination with Procurement IT and Legal



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required

  • 7+ years of broad supplier, customer relationship or risk management experience

  • Proven ability to manage suppliers or customers across large-scale organizations

  • Be results orientated, with a focus on service and customer centricity

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation / communication skills

  • Strong executive leadership skills

  • Advanced knowledge of IT industry trends and methodologies

  • Solid knowledge of procurement and/or vendor management systems / processes / tools


  • Master's degree

  • Additional experience in a large corporate environment

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical or High-Tech industry

  • Demonstrated success in contract management and in achieving supplier cost savings

  • Ability to collaboratively partner able to influence and drive accountability across organizational and domain boundaries

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across IT, Legal, Procurement

  • Expertise in project management principles & techniques

  • Leadership skills and collaborative partner able to influence
