Work with and monitor suppliers to ensure Young Touchstone receives quality products. Plans and conducts activities concerned with ISO9001 and AAR M-1003 Quality Management Systems auditing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works with Purchasing and Engineering in selecting, qualifying and auditing vendors and subcontractors.
Maintain approved suppliers list and all related supplier documentation.
Manages and supports supplier PPAP process.
Responsible for supplier nonconformance quarantine areas and material review process.
Communicates quality complaints and manages Supplier Corrective Action process.
Works with Quality Technician in receiving inspection process.
Participates in design reviews.
Plans and ensures internal audits are performed.
Ensures effective and timely closure of audit findings.
Responsible for assisting Registrar auditors during ISO9001/AAR M-1003 audits.
Trains personnel in the requirements of ISO/AAR and customer quality systems.
Schedules and manages internal audit process.
Works with and trains internal auditors to ensure productive internal quality audits.
Conduct supplier audits for Corporate Quality if requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from an accredited institution and a minimum of fifteen years related experience and/or training.
Previous experience in ISO Lead auditing and demonstrated experience interfacing with quality system registrars is preferred.
