Are you ready to?

  • Manage supplier performance and raise potential issues to supplier quality management.

  • Support supplier risk assessments and update the Approved Supplier List.

  • Act as lead auditor for supplier quality audits according to the established supplier audit schedule.

  • Communicate with suppliers for change notifications and timely follow up actions both internally and externally.

  • Support the dispositioning of nonconforming material from suppliers in a timely manner and analyze defect trends, in order to initiate appropriate supplier corrective action.

  • Assist suppliers with conducting FMEA, process capability studies and DOE.

  • Perform Quality Systems and Process Audits of current and prospective suppliers, including reporting, follow-up and closure of nonconformance.

  • Manage qualification of supplier process change requests inclusive of defining customer requirements as necessary.

  • Assess supplier process capability for new components, processes, assemblies and/or purchased finished goods.

  • Coordinate with customers and suppliers relating to quality performance, trends and corrective actions.

Do you Have?

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field

  • 4 -7 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 4 years of experience in a supplier quality role

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and gage design knowledge

  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

  • Direct experience leading supplier quality investigations and CAPA activities

  • Professional auditing certification by ISO, ASQ or similar

  • In depth knowledge of 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with all organizational levels as well as excellent interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to problem solve effectively.

  • Help develop and implement improvements to supplier quality policies, processes and procedures.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure accurate component specifications are created and implemented as needed.

  • Support the APQP process in design and process reviews.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment

The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for all textile testing and resolution of related customer issues. The QA Engineer will also provide technical guidance during the product development phase and work with offshore suppliers and third party testing labs to ensure that the Company’s textile products comply with established industry standards. Work with labs to resolve discrepancies with reports. Maintain detailed testing history, including physical and electronic files as required. Communicate finds to stakeholders. Define and maintain product specifications on Quality Management Systems portal. Determine testing requirements based on product claims. Provide care instructions for different textile articles. Partner with fabric suppliers, fiber and chemical companies and testing labs to maintain fabric related awareness of technical trends, innovative fibers, new technologies, finishing techniques, etc. Provide technical analysis to resolve customer complaints. Assist in comparative analysis of products from competitors. Review and approve product development samples in collaboration with Project Managers. Collaborate with Product Development team to determine technical feasibility of a new product development project. Consult with customers, suppliers and testing agencies to establish product performance criteria. Conduct inventory audits at Warehouse. Conduct factory audits at off-shore supplier locations. Work with compliance team on evaluating and monitoring vendors. Participate in product development and vendor review activities. Update QA related documents. Keep abreast of all federal, state and local laws as it pertains to testing and restricted substances. Communicate such changes to all Company manufacturing facilities. Build and maintain strong relationships with cross functional partners through clear communication skills and responsiveness to business needs. QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION, INCLUDING DEGREES & CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Textile Technology. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE (YEARS & TYPE OF EXPERIENCE): 2-5 years related “hands on” experience in textile industry, including understanding of related manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, etc. processes and knowledge of textile testing protocols.
