Partner with supplier quality engineers and suppliers to improve process capability & reduce costs associated with process variation to ensure that all processes and products are executed with the appropriate level of quality for our customers. Share the knowledge of underlying principles, approaches and methodologies of structured problem solving with the SQ organization to drive long-term supplier quality improvement.
As the Supplier Quality Continuous Improvement Leader, you will:
Solve technical problems by leveraging structured problem-solving, using the Shainin Red X Problem Solving methodologies, 8D, and other quality tools.
Train, coach and mentor individuals in the organization on the application of Shainin Red X problem solving methodologies.
Apply data analytics methods to obtain understanding of problems, uncover potential causes and drive actions for lasting solution.
Close projects by establishing timelines with focus on execution and follow-through.
Act as a change agent, systematically driving continuous improvement and change.
Present ideas, thoughts and plans on how to accelerate problem solving proficiency in the organization and supply base.
Be the subject matter expert on effective problem solving/Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Control / Continuous Improvement
Shainin Red X Journeyman certification or equivalent technical structured problem solving experience
Six Sigma (DMAIC or DFSS) and LEAN experience; Black Belt Certification
Working knowledge of other QC/CI tools
Demonstrated leadership skills in a matrix environment
Demonstrated project management, organization, and planning skills
Experience in coaching and training in the application of the problem-solving techniques
Strong change management skills
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
