Role Summary:

The Supplier Performance Leader will be responsible for the planning and execution of supplier on-time delivery performance including supplier capacity audit process and ensuring capacity audit red flag actions are addressed and closed. You will be responsible for development and implementation of control tower to track fulfillment KPI's, and developing and leading recovery plans at the supplier for critical fulfillment issues. The role will likely require up to 70% travel.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Supplier Performance Leader, you will:

  • Partner with sourcing, fulfillment, and supplier quality teams to lead supplier strategy for capacity, lead time reduction, and quality

  • Provide key inputs to sourcing, fulfillment, and quality teams for developing best strategy for supply, how to lock capacity / timing of locking capacity, risk diversification through reduction of single / sole sources

  • Be responsible for establishing and maintaining capacity audit plan to assess supplier risk and capacity to meet Onshore Wind Factory build plans

  • Monitor and drive closure of fulfillment and capacity red flag actions identified during capacity audits

  • Integrate with SQE to drive, track, and assist as needed in the execution of First Piece Qualifications and Pilot Lot Qualifications and drive completion of qualifications critical to supplier capacity

  • Verify capacity plans and qualifications at suppliers for NPI cut-in's and production ramp plans to ensure smooth transition and timely cut-in's

  • Partner with site fulfillment teams on supplier late deliveries to establish recovery plans and utilize WIP tracking / expediting at supplier to monitor part flow within supplier shop to ensure the production flow meets the recovery plan. Communicate milestone misses to Site Fulfillment teams (Site Fulfillment Leaders, Buyers, GCL's)

  • Partner with Onshore Fulfillment teams and Suppliers to drive operational rigor to update the required sourcing systems to help drive and monitor supplier performance (PO acceptance, PO need date updates in Oracle / SAP, Supplier updates to promise dates in Clear Orbit, and LOB's)

  • Develop and lead recovery efforts for identified non-conformances impacting factory build such as rework sourcing and coordination of rework with factory site and suppliers

  • Assist and conduct if needed quality surveillance audits to ensure that for critical fulfillment issues that corrective actions are identified and followed through to completion

  • Continue to develop and implement Control Tower at Global Onshore Wind sites including training site fulfillment teams and driving control tower utilization

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business field from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent knowledge / experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in sourcing and manufacturing

  • Ability and willingness to travel 70% of the time
