Are you looking for flexible hours and great pay? We are seeking our next Part-Time Supplemental Instructor - Dental Hygiene who will be all-in on our mission and who will provide hands-on training, guidance, and supervision to dental hygiene students during clinical sessions. This position has a new pay structure at $35/hour and flexible weekly hours.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Required:Bachelor’s Degree
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Three (3) years of recent clinical dental hygiene experience.
Preferred: Proficiency in dental hygiene software, electronic health records, and digital radiography systems.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Required: Graduate from a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Current and unencumbered license to practice dental hygiene in Texas.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Salary: Amarillo College Pay Grades, Pay $40/hour.
Physical Demands: Extended periods of standing while supervising students, moving around the clinic area to observe and assist, bending, reaching, and using hands for tasks, precise manual dexterity for demonstrations, keen visual acuity for assessment, occasional lifting of materials and equipment.
Working Environment: The role requires a willingness to work flexibly and involves conducting clinical instruction with the dental hygiene clinic at Amarillo College; interactions occur within a collaborative environment involving students, patients, faculty, and staff. Adherence to infection control and safety protocols is essential, following standard precautions and institutional policies.
