A SUPERVISORY SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1601-9/11:
Exercises administrative and technical supervision over one or more surface maintenance facilities, e.g., CSMS, MATES, UTES and/or FMS.
Develops, implements, and oversees the quality assurance program for assigned surface maintenance facilities.
Provides technical guidance to assigned maintenance activities through coordinated assistance or evaluation visits.
Oversees hazardous waste/industrial hygiene programs for maintenance facilities supervised.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Military Grades: O2 - O3
Compatible Military Assignments: OBR: 88A, 90A, 91A, 92A
Applicants need not be assigned to the position or possess the MOS to apply or be considered for selection. Selected applicant must be assigned to a compatible Military position and attain MOS within 1 year of appointment action.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Must maintain membership in the WA National Guard for continued employment.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
All soldiers, civilian employees, and contractor employees who drive Army-owned or leased vehicles must complete the Army Avoidance Course (AAC) training when they start working for the Army. Must have a valid Washington state and military driver's license. Must be able to obtain a Government Travel Card (GTC) and be able to attend all schools deemed necessary by the supervisor.
