About the Position: The Walla Walla District has a professional civilian workforce comprised of more than 900 personnel in engineering, scientific, technician, trades/crafts, and administrative support staff positions which help manage local water resources for navigation, flood control, disaster assistance, hydroelectric power generation, and other natural and heritage areas.

This position serves as the supervisory project manager responsible for the management of the Facilities and Equipment Maintenance (FEM) computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Serves as project manager (PM) for the FEM Information Technology (IT) project.
Plans, develops, implements, integrates and coordinates the IT requirements for the project, and manages the development and execution of updates throughout the project?s life-cycle.
Manages the development of long-and short-range planning in areas related to IT requirements, and ensures alignment with the Corp?s maintenance management and asset management initiatives.
Negotiates and integrates all stakeholder interests, sponsor/customer needs, and other agencies' commitments in support of FEM into a comprehensive management plan.
Controls and manages project milestones and budgets.
Performs first line supervisory duties for the National FEM Team staff.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position up to 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing the budget, resources, and utilization of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), such as MAXIMO/FEM, to track maintenance work activities (e.g. asset visibility, work identification, approval, planning and estimation, procurement, and close out) OR managing CMMS use at a large industrial facility to provide repair history and documentation of current and future maintenance operations for facilities and electrical/mechanical operating equipment OR managing the initiation, planning, execution, and/or closeout of a CMMS IT project using project management business processes and tools, such as using risk analysis and scheduling software, establishing work break down structures, developing budgets, and creating management plans.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
