As a Branch Chief at the GS-0080-14 with a full performance level of 14, you will be part of Office of Personnel Management, Suitability Executive Agent Programs. If selected, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a nationwide suitability program involving the adjudication of investigations, agency debarment referrals, and merit system fraud cases coming under the jurisdiction of OPM.

Recommends policy and procedures relating to matters, provides operational guidance, and translates policy into operational procedures
Personally reviews and/or provides guidance in processing certain cases, such as those involving complex potentially controversial, or sensitive issues
Provides technical assistance and advise to others within OPM as well as other agency HR or Security offices professionals who seek assistance with their delegated functions
Develops and delivers government-wide training that is compliant with the National Training Standards for Suitability Adjudicators and hosts relevant suitability educational opportunities for agencies
Provides appropriate support to inter agency matrix teams and provides input into changes/new initiatives affecting the suitability program or other matters withing- the purview of Suitability Executive Agent Program

For the GS 14: You must have one year specialized experience at the GS-13 level (or equivalent) serving as an expert in Public Laws, Executive Orders, regulations, and policies governing human resource/personnel security programs and protocols.
Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level.
You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
