Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. A. I have successfully completed a graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program. (You must provide copy of transcripts with your resume). B. I am currently enrolled in a professional nursing program and expect to complete the qualifying education within 9 months. (You must provide documentation from the professional program to support your expected completion date.) C. I do not have the education as described above. The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in administration and supervision of nursing services and assume the responsibility of the Director of Nursing in his/her absence. This position is considered a working supervisor. The incumbent reports to the Director of Nursing.. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities * Assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates for a 24 hour period. * Collaborates with the Director of Nursing in the evaluation of personnel using the Performance Appraisal System. * Participates in the planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of nursing and personnel education activities that directly and indirectly affect patient care outcomes. * Maintains clinical competence and expertise in Medical, Obstetrical, and Pediatric nursing. * Develops an orientation plan for each new employee that is specific to their skills and the needs of the unit and agency. D. I have a combination of professional nursing experience and graduate education that when combined fully are the minimum qualifications for this position. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for applicant for GS-11 grade level. E. I do not have the education and/or experience as described in the above statements.
