You will review, approves and directs work operations in the execution of a project within an assigned zone of work
You will make numerous decisions concerning the shifting of resources to meet sudden changes
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets, and adjusts short term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work
You will conduct investigations of reported equipment/system failures to identify responsible parties, root causes and corrective actions needed to prevent recurrence.
You will review training materials and conduct quality assurance training classes for employees of the Service group
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with an extensive administrative knowledge of nuclear production trade work and technical methods, procedures, materials and processes associated with the repair and overhaul of complex Navy vessels.
Experience with quality assurance concepts, principles, and methodology to developing and implementing an effective, economical shipyard quality assurance program.
Experience with ship types, configurations and systems (to facilitate shipboard onsite inspections of failed systems/components and promote ease of communication with cognizant civilian and military personnel).
Experience with in project management, quality control, cost control, schedule control and work flow control techniques.
Experience in interpreting drawings, plans, and a large variety of product specification's ( to assess product conformance to established design parameters).
