As a Supervisory National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (LB Team Lead) with emphasis in Credit Risk, you will:

  • Oversee supervisory efforts that involve complex issues and present a high level of risk to large banks.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a staff of employees. Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and review the work of staff. Recommend/take personnel decisions regarding hiring, promotions, and adverse action, leave requests etc., as appropriate to delegated authority.

  • Monitor the progress of assignments, evaluate training/developmental needs, and make arrangements for training as appropriate. Establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.

  • Assist the EIC in developing quarterly risk assessments and supervisory strategies of the bank including plans to effect corrective action(s) and programs to monitor progress. Develop objectives, plans and resource strategies to achieve OCC's business goals and priorities.

  • Provide analysis and advice on the planning and conducting of examinations, preparation of reports, and presentations of findings/recommendations to senior management at the bank and the OCC.

You must meet the following requirements within 60 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-VI band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:

  • Managing bank examiners on bank supervision activities in a financial institution; AND
  • Identifying, monitoring and managing risks to determine compliance with banking laws and regulations.

The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

The Sr. Credit Analyst position is responsible for preparing credit memoranda for complex lending relationships in the Commercial and Industrial sector as well as significant real estate investments including REITs and national credits.
