The position serves as the Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, located in the Office of Community Supervision and Intervention Services within Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency for the District of Columbia (CSOSA). CSOSA provides community supervision of adult offenders released by the DC Superior Court or the United States Parole Commission on probation, parole and supervised release in the District of Columbia.

This is not a law enforcement retirement covered position.

Duties

The incumbent leads an organization that develops and implements program strategies specifically designed for high-risk offenders (HRO) assigned to the Agency for Community Supervision or Investigation.

MDAs.

Collaborates and consults with key management officials to build consensus for resolving issuesthat involve major precedent-setting cases or High-Risk Offender program changes thatsignificantly affect how the agency does business.

Assesses program effectiveness or the improvement of complex program and management processes and systems encompassing difficult and diverse functions or issues that affect critical aspects of the major programs of CSOSA.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14 level if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that demonstrates your specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. Specialized experience would include designing and conducting a wide variety of comprehensive studies and detailed analyses of complex functions and processes related to program planning; developing evaluation criteria and measurements to assess progress in meeting overall project management objectives; and providing recommendations on problems, issues, related to policies, training initiatives and data collection

Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in Federal Service.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
