Duties

As a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-13, you will serve as the principal advisor to the Wing Commander and Director of Advanced Programs on the latest industry and technological projections as they pertain to SAP Cyber Security/Information Security for the network enclave infrastructure. Develops policies for organization deployed throughout the Wing. Must anticipate the effects of new emerging technology and develop policies to control it to prevent security violations. Duties include oversight and accreditation of all systems IAW with all NGB, Air Force, and DOD security directives, policies and procedures. Ensures that all elements are in compliance with guidance concerning accreditation of automated information systems, risk management, control of computer viruses, and other similar issues. Ensures that security incidents are investigated and reported IAW with all command, Air Force, NGB and DOD security directives, policies and procedures.? This includes auditing of IT systems, technical reviews, and ensuring proper IT Sanitization procedures are complied with IAW DOD security directives.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility within 6 months of employment.

  • Must have a Secret Clearance prior to appointment.

  • Must meet position requirements for certification at Level II in Information Assurance Technician (IAT-II) within 6 months or less of appointment to this position.

Qualifications

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to current on-board (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) US Federal employees interested in helping the Department of the Air Force meet our mission requirements as a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC). You must upload your most recent SF 50 (e.g. General Adjustment) to be considered.

PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation.

NOTES:

1.Must have a SECRET clearance prior to appointment and the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility within 6 months of employment.

2.Selectee must meet position requirements for certification at Level II in Information Assurance Technician (IAT-II) within 6 months or less of appointment to this position.

3.This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.

4.May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments.

5.Overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required.

6.You must upload your most recent SF 50 (e.g. General Adjustment) to be considered.

SPECILAIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-13 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-12 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience includes experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment; experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion; experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
