This is a Direct Hire Solicitation for Cyber Workforce Positions. Your resume will not be reviewed for qualifications until a selection is made.
Responsibilities

Provides leadership that involves implementing and supporting theater and enterprise initiatives, projects, and programs for defining, evolving, evaluating, and improving information management functions across the assigned region.
Ensures configuration management procedures and processes are implemented and fully complied with to facilitate standardizes of services across the region.
Identifies technology opportunities that will have a significant effect on the ability to support the customer base and perform the mission.
Establishes workload priorities and initiates assignments based on the difficulty, complexity, type of work and incumbent capabilities.
Identifies developmental and training needs of employees, with particular emphasis on requirements for integrating information technologies systems related knowledge, skills and abilities.
Develops and evaluates performance standards; recommends and approves awards; hears and resolves group employee grievances or serious employee complaints.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret-SCI security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Policy and Planning):

Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: leading a team of Information Technology Specialists or delegating work to peers or subordinates; analyzing budget and resource prioritization; providing technical guidance to different levels of the organization for the formulation and interpretation of Information Technology requirements; overseeing organization programs and projects to meet strategic goals; and developing and implementing policies and guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:

(1) Attention to Detail

  • Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: leading others by setting the standards for the quality of work, even in the most difficult and/or high pressure circumstances; reviewing and editing work completed by others to ensure that the quality of work meets acceptable work standards.

(2) Customer Service

  • Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
