You will oversee the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems, networks and data through planning, analysis, development, maintenance and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies procedures and tools.
You will develop policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks and data.
You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks and protection needs.
You will develop systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.
You will participate in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies.
You will facilitate the gathering, analysis and preservation of evidence used in the prosecution of computer crimes.
You will serve as the COMPACFLT Information Assurance technical authority applying a broad range of analytical methods in determining the impact of National Level Information Assurance policy on COMPACFLT and its shore and afloat activities.
You will provide leadership, guidance and oversight of IA policy planning, development and implementation of the network in compliance with DODIN INFOSEC objectives and Navy security requirements within a network-centric environment.
You will provide advice, clarification and coordination on efforts pertaining to Allied interoperability, DoD and other services (Army, USMC, USAF) policies, procedures and standards.
You will perform a variety of administrative tasks associated with Branch management to include: leave, training, performance standards, etc.
You will plan, direct and administer the work of the division through analysis of workload, determination of priorities, and assignment of tasks and redirection, as required.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience utilizing information assurance (IA) concepts, principles and practices to develop and implement information systems, networking and data management
security programs designed to detect, monitor, analyze and defend against network infiltrations. Your experience must reflect skills in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
