You will direct and perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provides recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will perform analysis and interpretation of the financial significance of past events and future plans and provides timely data for use in the direction, evaluation and control of operations.
You will serve as supervisory financial manager and advisor to the Commanding Officer of AEGIS Technical Representative, and is responsible for exercising effective control and overall management of the staff and financial resources of the command.
You will conduct management evaluation, prepares or reviews responses and recommends alternatives for corrective action to issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, and inspections.
You will provide financial management consultation, analysis, planning and forecasting support to the Command to aid in achieving effective financial management and aid in management decisions.
You will ensure funds are allocated properly, and are being obligated and expended in accordance with applicable regulations, fiscal law and financial policy.
You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by the employees in the program, setting priorities, preparing schedules for work completion, and ensuring the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts.
You will determine responsibilities, evaluate employee performance, recommend appropriate incentives, initiate corrective actions, assure safety practices, and keep employees informed of management and personnel policies.
You will prepare budget guidance for performing organizations.
You will analyze funding request requirements and the adequacy of justification and impacts.

This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent),in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating changes in funding or budgeting requirements and policies to identify solutions for its financial impact on program operations or project schedules.
