This position is responsible for the day to day planning, organizing, and operational efficiency of the team. The Supervisor is responsible for establishing service levels and controls to manage risk inherence to bank policies and federal regulations. The Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of multiple teammates including but not limited to hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations and teammate development.

Position Accountabilities

  • Ensuring that all teammates are properly cross trained to provide back-up when needed

  • Responsible for overseeing the daily processing of work associated with the team; processes related to item processing exceptions functions, reconcilements, etc.

  • Proactively solve issues and provide solutions; executing as appropriate

  • Proactively ensuring team service levels are met on a daily basis and provide weekly updates to Manager

  • Identify and resolve complex exceptions; provide real time line of business feedback or escalate to manager

  • Perform assigned production tasks that may vary in nature based on production levels and demands

  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluation and teammate development

  • Be able to perform all functions within the team

  • Proactively identify, implement process improvement opportunities

  • Ensuring department procedures are updated and adhered to in accordance with the Enterprise Policy and Procedure Governance.

  • Participate on corporate projects, lead internal enhancement initiatives.

  • Compliant with state, federal, regulatory and bank policies and procedures.

  • Partner with teammate in developing goals

  • Implement success measurement tools/process and communication strategy

  • Work with Manager as directed to monitor risk and ensure controls are functioning properly.

  • Validate and process invoices

  • Assist Manager in budget preparation

  • Accountable for resolving audit findings, identifying root cause and applying corrective measures

  • Ensuring the fulfillment of bank operations strategy and departmental goals

  • Ensure excellence service is provided to our internal partners and customers.

This position reports to the Manager Deposit Services

RequirementsPosition Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree Preferred or Equivalent Required

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with similar deposit services experience

Knowledge & Skills

  • Possess extensive and current knowledge of all operational duties and procedures, with proven ability to explain the purpose behind the process

  • Developing and implementing of deposit operations and workflow processes

  • Ability to organize work load

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Presentation skills

  • Detail oriented and quality focused

  • Proven problem solving and decision making abilities; able to think analytically

  • Able to handle multiple tasks

  • Ability to influence, persuade and motivate

  • Proficient computer skills relevant to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Effectively able to manage projects

When there is no manager onsite, the Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures that store operations run smoothly, and is responsible for ensuring the completion of all opening and closing procedures.
