Job Description and Responsibilities:

Wynn Resorts is the recipient of more Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world. Wynn Las Vegas opened on April 28, 2005 and was once again named the best resort in Nevada on Cond Nast Traveler's 2018 "Gold List," a title received for the tenth time. Wynn and Encore Las Vegas feature two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,750 spacious hotel rooms, suites and villas, approximately 192,000 square feet of casino space, 21 dining experiences featuring signature chefs and 11 bars, two award-winning spas, approximately 290,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space as well as three nightclubs, a beach club and recreation and leisure facilities. In addition to two luxury retail esplanades, a Strip-front expansion, Wynn Plaza, is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.

The XS Security Supervisor will oversee XS Doorman, Security Officers, Report Writers, Security Screeners, and Security Assistant Supervisors. In addition, they are responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees while simultaneously providing superior guest service consistent with Forbes 5 Star Standard rating. All duties and assignments are to be performed according to departmental and Wynn company policy and procedure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safe guard company property

  • Hold staff accountable to department and company policy

  • Manage large crowds

  • Be observant of possible criminal activities, advising management and/or local law enforcement

  • Direct and manage security staff

  • Ensure identification and age verification of guests in restricted areas

  • Work and communicate clearly with staff in multiple departments

  • Troubleshoot potential problems, seeking resolution discreetly and professionally

  • Communicate potential security issues with management, taking lead in resolution of issues

  • Adhere to and enforce company specific safety policies

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate in English with guests and co-workers

  • Must consistently maintain a well groomed appearance and hygiene

  • Willing to work in a loud and smoke filled environment

  • Possession of /or ability to possess a valid Gaming card

  • Possession of/or ability to obtain CPR certification

  • Must be 21 years of age or over

  • The ability to work within a team environment

  • Must be available to work all shifts; to include Day, Swing and Grave shift

  • Minimum three years in the hotel/casino industry preferred, but not required

  • Working knowledge of basic gaming regulations is preferred, but not required

Completes and reviews shift documentation as required during the assigned shift. Provides outstanding service to guests and treats all employees with courtesy and professionalism at all times. Essential Functions: * Provides overall protection of company assets * Interacts with guest and employees in a professional and courteous manner * Guards all transfers of money and tokens in the casino and the physical transportation of any fills, chips fills and credits * Assists with training all officers to properly enforce employee policy and procedures and security department standard operating procedures * Reviews and verifies documentation generated during the shift including but not limited to daily activity reports, security incident reports, guard tour reports and lock interrogation reports as directed by the shift supervisor * Performs all administrative duties of the shift supervisor or casino officer duties as defined by the director of security * Performs all duties of the shift supervisor or of a security officer as required * Interact with local law enforcement and ambulatory/paramedical agencies as required * Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations * Performs other duties as assigned American Casino & Entertainment Properties Las Vegas NV
