Touro Infirmary is a member of LCMC Health System POSITION SUMMARY: To provide patient care in the course of diagnostic ultrasound, under the direction and supervision of the Medical Director of Cardiology and the Director of Cardiology. Operate ultrasound equipment and perform scans according to hospital protocol.

Responsible for coordinating quality control testing and CQI. Perform and supervise duties of other Ultrasound Technologist. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Required: 5+ years of Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging Graduate of an accredited college with a degree in Science related field and/or graduate of an accredited school of Cardiopulmonary and/or certified by ARDMS/CCI accredited school or equivalent (including training from the United States Armed Forces). National Registry - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/RCVT/RVT or RDCS/RCS Basic Life Support/CPR Natl. Cert. Ultrasound Techs Preferred: 2+ years supervisory experience with performance improvement and/or staff development in a healthcare setting. Training and development in supervision and business operations.

Participation in lab certification processes for Echo and/or Vascular studies with the IAC. SCHEDULE/SHIFT: Monday through Friday 8-9 hours/day + Rotating on call responsibility and 1/2 day weekend rotation. Touro Infirmary is a member of LCMC Health System # POSITION SUMMARY: To provide patient care in the course of diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound and Vascular Doppler, under the direction of the Medical Director of Cardiology Services and under the supervision of the Supervisor Ultrasound Services. # # JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Required Education, Experience, Licensure: Graduate of an accredited college with a degree in Science related field and/or graduate of an accredited school of Cardiopulmonary and/or certified by ARDMS/CCI accredited school or equivalent (including training from the United States Armed Forces). 6 months performing cardiac / vascular procedures National Registry - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/RCVT/RVT and/or RVS/RCS# Basic Life Support/CPR, Natl. Cert. Ultrasound Techs Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: ultrasound physics and instrumentation; cardiac anatomy and physiology; vascular anatomy and physiology; general medical terminology; and, an understanding of the nomenclature of physicians# orders. Ability to: locate anatomic landmarks; use manual dexterity for proper probe placement; and, draw clinically relevant conclusions from raw data. Basic computer and data entry skills are needed; and, analytical skills are required to determine job priorities, multi-task and work independently.
