We're hiring a full-time Supervisor Telemetry and TeleSitter Hub at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Hyde Park, Illinois!
Job Summary
The Supervisor of the Telemetry and TeleSitter Hub provides oversight for the operations of the central monitoring department to include monitoring capacity, scheduling issues, equipment functionality and human resource management.
Primary Job Functions
Responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day performance of Cardiac Monitor Technicians and TeleSitters as well as the overall operations of the department.
Serves as a role model and demonstrates clinical expertise in ECG and AvaSure video monitoring.
Performs both roles when needed to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Participates in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, scheduling and assigning of staff.
Manages monitoring equipment to include addressing equipment repairs or needs and management of upgrades.
Ensures availability of portable monitors.
Performs other duties as assigned which may include data management, audits, and quality improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience as Telemetry Technician required
Healthcare leadership / lead technician experience preferred
Certification as ECG monitoring technician preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
High School diploma. Bachelor's degree in health science or similar preferred
Certified Technician. Specialty certification required.
