Job Profile Summary
Under the leadership of the Associate Dean of Student Services, this position implements the vision of the campus as it relates to admissions and registration and/or academic advising. The Supervisor, Student Services provides daily supervision of the full-time and part-time clerical staff and admissions officers ensuring quality customer service to students. This position also manages projects and activities related to the daily operations of each of the above departments. Along with the associate dean of student services, the Supervisor facilitates the implementation of policies and procedures related to the office of Admissions and Registration and/or Academic Advising. This position is responsible for the department in the absence of the associate dean.
Minimum Education:
Minimum Experience/Training:
Five years Admissions/ Registration experience and/or academic advising experience, preferably in a community college setting.
Three years supervisory or lead experience required.
Essential Functions:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of technology used in educational programs and services, including to but not limited to student information system and web-based information systems.

In-depth knowledge and hands on expertise in area of specialization and related areas of the College, and pertinent interdependencies
General understanding of the external environment and how it affects academia in general

Proven expertise in executing operational plans, managing projects and/or programs, budgeting, cost control and delivery of results
In-depth managerial and team building skills, and demonstrated ability to motivate and empower direct and indirect reports to achieve area priorities
Ability to partner with others across the College and externally to exchange information, collaborate on projects, share resources, etc.
May require negotiation skills and ability to reach mutual points of agreement and benefit among peers and colleagues
Advanced level technical skills for functional area required
