What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Provide direct daily supervision of warehouse associates to ensure safe, clean and efficient operations

  • Maintain shipping department work schedules and assignments

  • Direct and supervise all outbound orders to ensure they are correct and shipped on schedule

  • Recommend programs to the Facility Manager to improve warehouse operations

  • Interact with other department management to deliver service that exceeds our customers' expectations

  • Ensure that all records/reports are completed on time and effectively maintained

  • Review operating goals and standards, and monitor achievement

  • Work closely with Inventory Control personnel to handle and maintain stock in the warehouse in accordance with established inventory control processes

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5 years of experience in warehousing or third-party logistics (3PL), including 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience

  • Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field

  • Availability to work a flexible work schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

  • Experience in a AS9100 or ISO environment

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

This job requires the ability to:

  • Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights

  • Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull

  • Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time

  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment

You must be able to lead and develop relationships across sanitation, operations, and management teams. You will be responsible for leading your own process and driving results. You will support personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions. You will have the opportunity to work alongside employees completing similar tasks. Key Accountabilities: Maintains a positive relationship with cross-functional teams to build paperwork in a strong food safety culture and to assist food safety completion of incidents. Identify and track key performance indicators for all sanitation activities. Evaluate standard operating procedures, master schedule, verification and reporting for sanitation team. Ensure safety and sanitation regulations. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring for direct reports which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and budgeting.
