The Supervisor, RN Flex Assessor will work within a cross-functional team, to assure the quality administration of functional assessments to individuals of diverse populations and backgrounds. They will work with colleagues and leadership to develop and improve an exciting and innovative program, dedicated to improving the lives of Medicaid beneficiaries in Arkansas. They will provide oversight and support to a staff of assessors located throughout Arkansas, while representing our organization with our customer, our clients, and within our community.

  • This will be a telecommute from home and field based role throughout the state of Arkansas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical or production team or unit

  • Achieves financial objectives by contributing to optimization of assessor schedules and assessor productivity.

  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among program divisions by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods

  • Provides clinical consultation and supervision of field based assessor staff administering Independent Assessments of beneficiaries

  • Ability to handle complex personnel situations effectively and efficiently

  • Maintains nursing assessor staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

  • Ensures quality of assessment documentation by auditing beneficiary assessment records and implementing actions to ensure continuous improvement

  • Communicates in a culturally sensitive manner to individuals whose support needs are being assessed, including beneficiaries within the mental health, developmental disability, or adult aging populations

  • Maintains beneficiary confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing

  • Provides flex capacity for assessor staff in the administration of independent or functional assessments, including emergency assessments

  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion

  • Coordinates work activities with other supervisors

  • Develops plans to meet short-term objectives

  • Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment

  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan

  • Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact individual employees and/or customers (internal or external)

  • Educate and conduct training/coaching with employees

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in state of residence

  • Independent performer with successful past performance related to supervision of nursing staff

  • Ability to clearly and consistently maintain work standards for direct reports

  • 3 years of clinical experience

  • 2 years of leadership experience (team lead, supervisor of large teams highly preferred)

  • 1 year of experience working directly with adult and aging population

  • Ability to travel state-wide 50% of the time

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Must be able to pass complete criminal history and Central Registry checks

  • Must have additional Child Maltreatment Central Registry and Adult and Long-Term Care Facility Resident Maltreatment Central Registry updated every three years and a state criminal background check updated every five years

  • Access to high speed or DSL internet at your residence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Home health / rehab experience

  • Experience with the Medicaid patient population

  • Experience training and / or coaching teams

  • Experience presenting information via web-based tools to large groups / audiences

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to take tasks to the finish line independently and with minimal direction

  • Detail oriented
