PRIMARY PURPOSE OFPOSITION
The Supervisor position within Retail Operations isresponsible for managing and coordinating the activities and operations of theteams in the assigned business function areas. The supervisor will maintain anadvance understanding of the workflow activity and business process mapping aswell as the current industry and regulatory requirements within the assignedteams. The supervisor will guide the team through complex workflow issueresolution and evaluate the integrity of system controls providing directionand support for innovation where needed. The supervisor will proactivelycommunicate with other teams to avoid or fully remediate issues that crossmultiple functional areas.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Workflow Monitoringand Performance Improvement:
Guide team through complex issues and execute remediation.Encourage and practice curiosity and exploration to develop better ways ofdelivering the right solutions. Review and evaluate the integrity of internalcontrols and the reliability of control procedures/metrics.
Cross FunctionalCommunications and Risk Mitigation:
Effectively communicate with department leadership and otherdepartments to address and resolve business issues. Maintain an advanceunderstanding of industry and regulatory requirements within own team.Proactively communicate with other teams to avoid or fully remediate issuesthat cross multiple business function areas.
Workflow Innovationand Functional Knowledge Collaboration:
Innovates workflow processes with focus and intent, creatingthe solutions that matter most for our customers. Maintain an advanceunderstanding of business process mapping and workflow activity within ownteam. Proactively challenge the status quo to automate and improve processes.Collaborate with other functional teams to provide recommendations for ongoingworkflow innovation.
Work with team to design and execute development plansaddressing communication, leadership, technical skill training, and increasingindustry knowledge. Define personal development goals and objectives for team.Create opportunities to develop team.
Comprehension/Adherenceof Policies and Controls:
Communicate proactively across multiple groups to avoid orfully remediate issues as it relates to UDC/ISO market rule changes. Ensurethat all Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") Key Controls and other company policies arefollowed.
Bachelor'sdegree in business, engineering, or related discipline
5 or moreyears in equivalent business experience
Demonstrativemanagement/leadership skills (3 or more years of leadership/managementexperience)
Provenability to develop a team through recruitment, training and personaldevelopment
Abilityto effectively and professionally communicate, in oral or written form, withinternal and external parties
Abilityto work well under stressful situations
Abilityto make quick and independent decisions earning credibility
Excellentorganizational, time management skills
Resultsdriven and team oriented
Bachelor'sdegree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Management InformationTechnology or Supply Chain Management
Priorexperience in the retail energy industry and/or regulated energy industry
Priorexperience in using CRM and/or Order-to-Cash workflow systems
Workingknowledge of UDC/ISO market EDI transactions
