SUMMARYThe position of Research and Development manager Oversees new product development, from conceptualization to commercialization, ensuring high-quality standards and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the RD manager has primary responsibility for the food product development laboratory overseeing all day-to-day operations.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Development: * Working with a cross functional team, manage project timelines, including driving customer communication and expectation management. * Both Preform and Coordinate well designed lab work. * Lead regular quality checks during commercialization and address any deviations promptly. * Drive innovation in product development through the exploration of new ingredients, processes, and technologies. * Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and creative problem-solving. * Timely completion of RFP's for Bucket 1 and 2 projects, writing formulas that will be commercialized. * Support Operations on technical and processing issues as required.Lab Management: * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the food product development laboratory. * Supervise lab technicians and provide guidance and mentorship. * Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product development and Lab operations.*
Overseeing the maintenance laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration. * Oversee the fulfillment of Sales Samples including assigning priority tasks as required.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS* Extensive experience in food product development, with a proven track record of successful product launches. * Experience working with confectionery products, ingredients, and processes, preferred. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. * Knowledge of Food Safety and Regulatory requirements in the Food Industry * Strong leadership skills. * Exceptional project management abilities, including the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Bachelor's in Food Science or a related field.
