The Reimbursement Supervisor is responsible for the day to day supervision of a team of Reimbursement Specialists or clerks focused on the collection of insurance claims for genetic testing services. The Supervisor will interact with patients, clinicians, insurers, Managed Markets and the Billing department management to coordinate the training and coaching of staff, implementation of new procedures, and the fulfillment of departmental objectives.

Responsible for the day to day supervision of a team of Reimbursement Specialists or Clerks focused on the collection of insurance claims for genetic testing services.Interact with patients, clinicians, insurers and the Billing Manager/Director to ensure timely collection of accounts
Hire, develop and train qualified billing employees
Perform annual performance reviews of direct reports and take appropriate promotion or corrective action related to staff performance
Participate in the Quality Assurance plan
Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations
Supporting documentation for the education and experience requirements are maintained in theemployee's personnel file. Meets minimum education and experience requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Be dependable, detail-oriented, professional able to build teams and motivate employees while working under pressure
Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding, DSO reduction, accounts receivable, & HIPAASupervisory experience in a medical billing and collections environment, or equivalent education including college experience or industry certification is preferred.
