  • Position Summary:

Oversees and manages/supervises the day to day programming needs of the Therapeutic Recreation Department. Will effectively manage departmental duties as well as programs for current assigned unit.

Will with assistance from other Recreation staff: plan, produce and manage the "Living Room/Chapel/ Caf" calendar. Support and promote new and creative programs. Supervise Recreation staff members and their programming.

Ensure staff scheduling is balanced and sufficient for programs. Work within allotted budget for scheduling entertainment, ordering supplies, and catering requests. Must be able to manage time well, coordinate programs and calendars, direct recreation staff and communicate well with other departments and vendors to insure successful programming for special events.

Support and Promote Resident strengths and abilities, capacity for social contribution, unique values, preferences, living habits and autonomy of choice. Embraces a vision of aging that is meaningful and relationship based.

Recruitment Requirements:

BS in Recreation Therapy or Geriatric related field

CTRS Certified or Eligible

Two years experience in Recreation Therapy field with adult/geriatric population preferred.

As a Senor Manager for competitive intelligence on the Global Oncology Therapeutic Area team, you will provide competitive intelligence for GSK's global late-stage/commercial portfolio specifically focusing on the Cell & Gene Therapy Area. Additionally, you will take a supportive role in managing, advancing, and continually improving the competitive intelligence processes, procedures, and databases. You will be expected to work in a highly collaborative environment with subject matter experts in Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Market Research, Market Access, Finance, and Legal. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the integration of diverse data sources regarding competitor activities into clear, informed, and actionable content to ensure that competitive threats are proactively addressed, and opportunities are optimized. You must have a track record of effectively leveraging secondary data sources in combination with vendor selection and management to understand and present the competitive marketplace and considerations for GSK's late-stage/marketed assets. You will report to the Head, Competitor Intelligence based in Philadelphia and will work collaboratively with a number of Oncology Asset teams. You can be based in the United States at either of our Philadelphia based locations, or in Waltham, MA. You could also be based in the UK at our Brentford, London location or in Zug Switzerland. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: * Provide an objective commercial viewpoint based on an in-depth understanding and analysis of commercial, clinical, and scientific competitive information * Proactively drive analysis and ensure early awareness of key market opportunities and risks through analysis of primary and secondary information * Apply and execute robust competitive assessments and insights that inform key decision-making regarding product positioning/messaging, long and short-range forecasting, and lifecycle management, including clinical development strategy * Deliver guidance, recommendations and market intelligence insights to key stakeholders, including market research, sales, marketing, med affairs, regulatory * Establish and maintain cross-functional team and individual relationships with personnel outside of the Competitive Intelligence team to provide multifaceted perspectives on competitive threats * Lead in collecting competitive intelligence at major medical conferences; managing the analysis and reporting of onsite competitive activities, obtaining answers to key intelligence questions and reporting on breaking news and/or key developments * Oversee the construction/sourcing and maintenance of a CI database for preserving and accessing competitor data/metrics * Own and execute scenario planning workshops to develop insights to competitor strategy and tactics for commercial decision making Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: * Bachelor's degree * 4-6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or other related healthcare field in the areas of competitive intelligence, market research, Investment banking and/or strategy. consulting with a minimum of 2-3 years in a commercial competitive intelligence role * Strong commercial background sufficient to research and assess impact of competitive threats and identify competitor messaging and sales and marketing strategies * Demonstrated leadership in the synthesis of primary and secondary data sources commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry (i.e. ADIS, Citeline, clinicaltrials.gov, EvaluatePharma, Decision Resources, DataMonitor, etc.) including the caveats and appropriate uses of each source * Demonstrated ability to synthesize data to obtain key takeaways * Ability to travel (25%) to congresses or other GSK sites is required Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: * Advanced Degree * Experience in oncology, ideally within Cell & Gene Therapy. * Experience working and managing multiple vendors * Proven ability to work with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail * Willingness to work collaboratively by incorporating diverse perspectives and appropriately managing relationships in order to strengthen decision making * Proactively seek out and recommend process improvements * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and operate in a matrix environment * Strong communication skills: ability to communicate (verbal and written) technical and non-technical information clearly to a diverse audience with leadership presence. * Computer skills: proven competence with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software programs.
