  • How will you make an impact?*
    The supervisor manages the day-to-day Quality Control activities for the Microbiology department, ensuring the compliance, accuracy and timeliness of specified testing support processes (e.g., sample receiving, method qualification, testing, reporting of results), provides QC microbiology guidance and support throughout the site (e.g. projects, product transfers and regulatory inspections), and ensures all testing support processes and departmental documentation meet corporate and regulatory standards.

  • What will you do?*

  • Provide Microbiology technical expertise at the site, within and outside of the Quality Control department.

  • Participate in Health Authority, client and internal audits.

  • Develop and maintain site policies and procedures related to microbiology testing, ensuring compliance to corporate and regulatory standards.

  • Participate in the investigations of non-conformances in compliance with quality procedures, policies and regulations.

  • Oversee trending of microbiology data.

  • Represent the Microbiology team in internal and project team meetings.

  • Provide support to the Quality Control laboratories and management as required.

  • Supervise a team of approximately 10 scientists in the Microbiology lab.

  • How will you get here?*

  • Education*

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field

  • Experience*

  • 5 or more years of experience in Microbiology

  • At least 2 years of experience in a GMP facility

  • At least 2 years of prior supervisory experience preferred

  • Equivalency*

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities*

  • Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) including manufacturing and laboratory systems and utilities.

  • Strong knowledge of Aseptic manufacturing practices and gowning.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Job Description POSITION PURPOSE Lead the Transitions & Quality Control Team, including strategizing team goals, planning future-state department structure, and deploying changes in strategies, processes, and tools. ACCOUNTABILITIES May be responsible for one or more of the following: * Assign and complete tasks as designated by Director * Provide Director with regular updates on department capacity and progress * Daily oversight of Transition Specialists to include career development, goal setting, and annual reviews * Hold monthly one-on-one meetings with employees and report matters as needed to Director * Continuously evaluate department structure and implement structural changes when required * Strategize department improvements independently and report implementation plan to Director * Serve as a change champion and remain flexible * Participate in special projects as needed; Assign special projects to team members when appropriate * Ensure employees are following department guidelines and perform regular audits to ensure consistency * Utilize best practices to evaluate effectiveness of department tools and processes * Pursue training opportunities and development for department * Attend weekly manager meetings and deliver initiatives to department * Review resumes and interview candidates for applicable positions; coordinate all logistics for new hires * Represent Transitions & Quality Control department for large-scale projects & inter-department initiatives * Collaborate with national markets to field questions, establish solutions, and create/improve tools * Promote best practices with property transitions and throughout Property Management * Educate and provide guidance on various software platforms and company policies and procedures * Maintain and analyze Transition Tracker and Time Tracker data, including creation of summary reports * Collaborate with account managers and market leaders to strategize value-add improvements in TQC * Develop transition process improvement initiatives and create documentation of processes * Develop and maintain content for the Asset Services intranet and operations manual * Execute and manage special projects, to include final audits of all products * Generate, analyze, and interpret various reports needed by Director, Leadership, or field * Assist internal departments with representation of Asset Services operations * Provide oversight of K-1 initiatives, issues, questions, and data * Represent Transitions & Quality Control department on client pitches as requested MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor Degree * 5+ years of relevant experience * Or any similar combination of education and experience * Experience in commercial real estate and basic accounting knowledge, including understanding Property Management function, lease administration, and tenant leases/reconciliations * Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook * Knowledge of Yardi and MRI to include lease administration * Experience managing a team of employees * Effective and efficient time management skills * Detail oriented, organized, and thorough * Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service * Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and team approach to work * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to represent department and company with highest level of professionalism * Ability to travel for client pitches with little to no advanced notice PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours * May involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner * Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type * Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you * Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays * Ability to observe details at close range Cushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
