Manage and direct the staff of a manufacturing operation to achieve 100% attainment of the monthly production schedule while maintaining a safe work environment and maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to prescribed quality control standards, efficiency targets and ensuring that inventory objectives and new product launch date schedules are met.

Educational, Mental, or Certification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in major technical discipline or business required or equivalent experience;

Five to eight years experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment

Must be able to work a 12 hour rotating night shift

Must work well in a fast paced environment and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;

Must demonstrate excellent people management skills including the ability to develop a team of individuals capable of producing extraordinary results;

Must demonstrate the L'Oreal competencies including but not limited to creative problem solving, decision making, achievement orientation, cultivation of talent, and strong communication skills.

General Job Duties

Manage production operations to achieve attainment of the production plan by executing the short term fixed schedule;

Supervise and train the production work force in methods and procedures that

Maximize the efficient operation and application of the means of productions;

Develop and implement improved work procedures that enhance manufacturing efficiency;

Recommend capital equipment improvements to enhance the capacity, efficiency, and productivity of the means of production;

Observe 'Good Manufacturing Practices' (GMP);

Implement L'Oreal quality assurance procedures;

Facilitate and effective employee/labor relations environment within the production unit;

Maintain appropriate records and complete necessary reports in a timely manner in regards to safety, quality, and production;

Maintain a safe, clean work area and implement L'Oreal's environmental programs;

Where applicable, manage supporting warehouse activities;

Manage and implement all L'Oreal policies and practices including, but not limited to, the Corporations Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, Etc.

General Management

Develop and train staff and line personnel to efficiently conduct processing operations

Implement L'Oreal quality assurance, GMP, safety and environmental procedures as well as, but not limited, to Equal Employment policies

Maintain an effective employee relations environment

Develop and implement individual and team objectives that achieve overall plant inventory control goals

Manage record and reporting systems

Perform other duties as necessary

  • Computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine and other office equipment as required.

Essential Functions

  • Manipulation requirements: (Hands or Feet): This position requires an individual to constantly perform one and/or all of the following movements/functions: Handle, reach, feel perform fine motor manipulations with their hands, and perform gross motor manipulations involved in moving materials.

  • Cell Managers are provided with and required to wear safety glasses and steel-toed shoes; must wear safety gloves.


  • Operate a Personal Computer;

  • Manages and Directs the cell operations while working independently and as a team member, make decisions, and use adequate organizational and time management skills;

  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures;

  • Have visual/auditory acuity required to read and understand written material required by their position;

As an Night Operations Department Supervisor, this means: * Removing barriers, addressing inefficiencies, and enabling staff to delighting our customers. * Collaborating with front-end and back-end operations associates to ensure items are adequately stocked. * Monitoring use of store power equipment and coaching employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques. The Night Operations Department Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading and enabling a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store. This includes coaching and training associates, delegating, following-up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. The Night Operations Department Supervisor impacts Lowe's mission daily by planning, scheduling, monitoring, and successfully implementing all non-selling operations in the back end and front end of the store, facilitating the store's ability to provide a superior customer shopping experience and maximize sales and profitability. To be successful, the Night Operations Department Supervisor must collaborate and communicate with other Department Supervisors and Assistant Store Managers to determine the most effective methods for meeting service, operations, and safety objectives. The individual in this role must continuously drive efficiencies and be able to teach others the skills needed to maintain effective store operations. It is important that this associate communicate upward to keep management informed of concerns, issues, recognitions, and morale. The Night Operations Department Supervisor helps keep our store safe by conducting safety walks, reporting hazards, training and monitoring staff, and understanding all safety and lifting requirements. In addition to the responsibilities summarized above, individuals in this role may occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD). Travel Requirements: This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel on occasion to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores. What We're Looking For * Hourly Full Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 hours; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store. * Requires working overnight shift. * Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. * Minimally must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance. What You Need To Succeed Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment. * Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility). * Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates. * Experience working cross-functionally. * Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law. Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting front-end or back-end operations in a retail environment. * Experience in customer service role. * Experience in a leadership role with direct report responsibility. * Experience working in the home improvement retail sector. * Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic retail environment. * Experience in key carrying role with manager-on-duty responsibilities. * Experience using store computer systems (including but not limited to: Project Tool, Genesis, Sterling, M2O, Thin Client, etc.).
