Job Summary:

The Supervisor, Play Action Plaza (PAP) is primarily responsible for assisting with the oversight of ongoing day-to-day operation at the Play Action Plaza at the Hall of Fame Village, a subsidiary of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW).

The ideal candidate is an independent worker with the ability to have foresight into the needs of PAP guests and staff. This role is primarily positioned outside in weather elements including hot and cold temperatures as well as rain or snow. This is not an office job and requires mobility and flexibility to changing weather conditions.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior guest service to visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff at all times.

  • Responsible for assisting the day-to-day operation of PAP assets and grounds, including ride operation.

  • Ensure operational excellence by performing supervisory tasks, such as scheduling, training, maintaining inventory, and/or evaluating employee performance.

  • Ensure the facilities are maintained in a safe and sanitary fashion by adhering to regular cleaning and waste management disposal schedule.

  • Adapt to changing schedules, weather conditions, guest needs, and HOFV needs.

  • Work in coordination as needed with outside contractors and vendors.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Work a flexible schedule during operating hours of PAP (including nights, weekends, and some holidays).

  • Ensure that staff are in uniform and presenting themselves in a professional and welcoming manner to the public at all times.

  • Address complaints and concerns of visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff and work professionally to create positive and guest-services oriented solutions.

  • Responsible for greeting guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner, generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative environment.

  • Follow organizational processes and procedures to ensure compliance of working for a publicly traded company.

  • Will work in other areas or assets of HOFV during seasonal times of PAP closure.

  • Create and implement operational procedures that enhance the guest experience, including but not limited to, ticketing, voucher program, and ride tracking.

  • Implement inclement weather protocols.

  • Supervision of assigned staff, assuming day-to-day responsibilities for personnel related matters that include but are not limited to:

o Assist during interview process, onboarding, and training new hires.

o Complete annual performance reviews for all supervised staff.

o Provide continuous feedback, supervision, and coaching to all supervised staff.

o Formal discipline supervised staff in conjunction with Human Resources.

o Create and maintain schedule, assignments, and attendance.

o Approve time clocks and make adjustments as needed.

o Respond in a timely manner to calls, texts, inquiries, and emails.

o Enforce uniform protocol.

  • All other duties as assigned.

FULL-TIME/SALARY/EXEMPT

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree preferred.

  • Previous supervisory experience required.

  • Must have the ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative environment.

  • Must have basic computer skills (primarily Microsoft Outlook), math and record-keeping.

  • Valid driver's license in compliance with agency standards required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to understand and follow safety procedures and protocols.

  • Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance, working quickly without compromising quality.

  • Ability to work flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed) is required.

  • Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters while maintaining confidentiality.

Physical Requirements for Position:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside.

  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.

  • The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations.

  • The ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.

  • Must be able to hear, see, and speak.???
