The Supervisor, Philanthropy and Sponsorship Marketing will oversee key marketing components for community sponsorships and philanthropic initiatives. This position assumes responsibility for managing all aspects of planning, implementation, execution and tracking for Ochsner brand marketing.

This position will report to the corporate sponsorship director and serve as the primary point-of-contact for vendors and all partner-related activity. This role will promote philanthropic events and ensure that fundraising efforts support donations and build upon Ochsner's brand awareness and reputation. This role will also focus on marketing sponsorship initiatives aimed to raise brand awareness, engage the community, strengthen the system's market position, and provide measurable marketing return on investment.

Education

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, computer science, or related field.

Work Experience

Required

  • 5 years of related marketing experience.

Preferred

  • 5 years of marketing experience including 3 years of project or team leadership experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques and ability to develop marketing plans and strategies.

  • Leadership skills and ability to delegate job tasks effectively.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

  • Excellent project management, organizational and time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and challenging demands.

  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.

  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc.).

Job Duties

  • Oversee the marketing of community sponsorships and fundraising programs and events.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of all program components, working closely with Ochsner's advertising agencies, vendors, corporate clients, and internal stakeholders to execute programs.

  • Assist with the creation of support materials, including advertising and collateral material, while maintaining consistency with brand or sub-branding guidelines. Draft and edit marketing materials and copy. Collaborate with external/internal design and production firms on creative approach.

  • Attend to the brand and marketing details of special event implementation and follow-up, collaborating with internal personnel and external resources, as necessary.

  • Manage employee engagement, hospitality, and special projects as it relates to sponsorship and fundraising marketing.

  • Manage the selection and integration of brand ambassadors into programs as needed.

  • Serve as the marketing liaison between internal clients, including, but not limited to Legal Affairs, Governmental Relations, Regional Executives, etc.

  • Interact with executives and business leaders in the community.

  • Responsible for financial management including budget planning and reconciliation. Work will include participation in monthly department budget meetings, coordinating vendor invoicing and tracking payment of program components. Seek opportunities for cost reduction and outcome improvement.

  • Establish measurement and tracking program to monitor the impact of programs and optimize as necessary. Key metrics will include marketing-driven donations and brand engagement.

  • Collaborate on all brand research projects and actively work to integrate findings into marketing programs.
