Supervisor Patient Care Services

Position Summary

The Supervisor of Nursing assumes 24 hour responsibility and is responsible for the entire nursing operational functions. Additional responsibilities include; assigning Nursing personnel using established guidelines combined with knowledge of patient acuity. Evaluates oncoming shift for staffing needs and acts accordingly

Primary Responsibilities:

Assigns Nursing personnel using established guidelines combined with knowledge of patient acuity. Evaluates oncoming shift for staffing needs and acts accordingly.

Assesses Nursing staff for adequate orientation and training and communicates to Nurse Manager.

Communicates with Nurse Manager regarding activities of Nursing personnel.

Required:

• Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.

• Two years experience in appropriate clinical setting

• RN licensure required.

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

• Previous management/charge nurse experience
