Supervisor Patient Accounting

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Manager/Regional Director, Supervisor Cash Posting, plans, directs, evaluates, controls, and organizes the staff and functions of the Revenue Cycle Department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Leads, plans and directs staff.

• Responds promptly, professionally and courteously to all customers' needs.

• Communicates effectively and often with leadership and staff.

• Contributes to continuous quality improvement efforts.

• Completes tasks accurately and timely.

• Organizes time and prioritizes effectively.

• Practices cost effective measures.

• Responds promptly, professionally and courteously to all customers' needs.

• Cooperates and communicates effectively with all McLaren Health Care team members

• Must be able to understand, explain, calculate, analyze and interpret the information reviewed daily.

Position Specific Expectations:

Billing, Follow-Up, Cash Posting, Customer Service, Clerk/Scanning, Denials and Underpayments are identified in the specific assignment sheet for a Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of Associate Degree and relevant experience may be acceptable.
• Three years of patient accounting or patient access experience.
• Experience in health care setting.
• One year leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and billing systems/software.
