What will you be doing?
The purpose of this position is to facilitate the collection, retrieval and manipulation of business data through company approved information management systems.
This position will interact with all employees including management, department supervisors, hourly employees, Chicago operations, service center network, inspectors/estimators. The impact of this position on the business is very important as it provides productivity and financial information so that actual versus budget may be determined. This position requires an individual with solid analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues as relates to the use of and function of information technology system, networks, the key functional groups and customers for this position are hourly employees, supervisors, and service center management. The individual filling this position will focus on maintaining the information technology systems and creating accurate data retrieval tools.
Manage payroll entry process and input of employee time in MMS.
Participates as a member of the management team in the development of the service center budget and provides weekly reports on budget status throughout the year. Provides for control and determination of shop costs relative to estimates, labor costs, and process variation. Reviews actual costs verses budget and recommends adjustments as required. Assist with management of overhead accounts; sourcing and invoicing of non-material items. Monthly financial reporting on G/L.
Acts as a backup to the ME Scheduler.
Create and manage AAR Railroad Damage BRC and FTP files to AAR Services in Chicago.
Supervise ME Scheduler
Car file creation and inbound cars in the MMS system.
What is required of you?
SAProuter (SAP) Experience working knowledge preferred
High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree a plus.
7-1O+ years of experience
